So what's next?

“Humbled” is the first word that comes to mind when I look over the stats from my 40-day birthday blog challenge; “Grateful” is a close second. I don’t know what else to say, but THANK YOU for following along, THANK YOU for reading and sharing and commenting and most of all, THANK YOU for joining in the conversation. Your comments and stories were so touching and encouraging, and you definitely made it easier to get up each day and work on the next post!
Here are some fun stats:
* During the 40-day challenge, the Overboard Blog was read thousand and thousands of times!
* People checked-in from 30 different countries around the world! Countries like:
- South Africa
- Sweden
- the Philippines
- Ukraine
- Kyrgyzstan
- Uruguay
- Aruba
- Bangladesh
- the Netherlands
- Jamaica
- Georgia
- Kenya
* On day 34 of the challenge, we had already had as many blog-views in 2014 as we did in all of 2013!
* During the 40-day challenge, the Overboard blog reached 24,000 life time readers!
Thank you for sharing in this journey with me, and for supporting Overboard Ministries.
A lot of changes are in store in the next phase of Overboard. Our new logo has been launched, a new web site is just around the corner and I am preparing a couple of really exciting product launches. But more than web pages, books and snappy looking logos, I am excited to begin the process of starting a movement of people trying to live the Overboard Life.
During my birthday weekend, my wife put together a surprise birthday card collection for me. Over 60 cards have come in so far (14 came in the day after Memorial Day!) and I have been blown away by the remarks people have made. I have been so encouraged by how many people are reading this blog, following along on a regular basis, and working hard to live outside the boat every day.
So let’s keep moving forward, together.
Right now I am starting to put together an Overboard email list. You can join one of two groups, so if you click this link, you can read about your options. It will take you about three minutes to read and fill out the online form. This will be the next step in creating a community of people who are living Overboard together.
Keep an eye things around here, I think you’re going to like some of the changes and ideas. More than that, though, keep living Overboard, and sharing your stories of Overboard faith!
Go ahead and take the plunge, life is always better on the water!
